DAVENPORT, IA November 2020 — On Thursday, November 5, 2020 the team at Craftsmen Utility Trailer of Davenport celebrated their 5th Anniversary at their Davenport location.
In 2015, Craftsmen Utility Trailer purchased the Trailer Division from Thompson Truck & Trailer’s Trailer. Initially operating with 9 employees in a small facility located on 2 acres, our dedicated team spent 2 years working hard before breaking ground just 1 mile east on a new larger 25,000 square foot facility on 14 acres to better serve our customers. This new dealership location is ideally positioned in an industrial park behind several truck stops with easy on and off access to I-80.
Our new location has allowed us to grow the business while providing additional jobs to the Davenport region. With 23 employees, 12 service bays, a parts showroom, a parts warehouse, training room and offices, Craftsmen has been able to provide a higher quality of service to a larger number of customers.
Our Davenport team celebrated their 5-year anniversary by enjoying a socially distanced Thanksgiving lunch hosted by our owners, Mark Helmsing and Lou Helmsing. The Helmsing brothers also recognized the five of the original team members who have been with them since day 1, each receiving a Craftsmen 5-year Award during a short ceremony.
